Material type: TextPublication details: 2017Dissertation note: Project paper (Bachelor of Computer Science ) - University Malaysia of Computer Science and Engineering, 2017. Summary: The Safety Child Car Alert System by using Arduino is a system which is integrated by a smartphone, Arduino, sensors and GSM module for safety alert system implementation. This system uses a pressure and motion sensors to detect the presence of an unattended child in at the passenger seat. The GSM or Global System for Mobile Communication allows the system to work well within limited communication during the critical time. By using GSM, it also can reduce power consumption for the phone to stay connected with any internet connection as well as cost saving of the mobile data. This system helps to alert the parent or caregiver about the presence of the children when they accidentally left them in a vehicle. The system will be triggered when both sensors detect the presence of the child in the seat. The signal will be sent to the Arduino controller to trigger the GSM module to send out an alert message as well as the alert call to the users. The parent or caregiver will receive an alert message or call that tells them the presence of the child in the car after leaving the car at a certain period of time. In conclusion, this system will help to reduce the statistic of the children died in the vehicles.Item type | Current library | Collection | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode | Item holds |
